14th Annual Union Hospital Golf Tournament

Another great year for golf!

Elkton, Md. (September 29, 2009) –Union Hospital’s 14th Annual Golf Tournament was held on Friday September 18, 2009 at The Club at Patriots Glen under perfect conditions.  More than 160 players took part in the two session shotgun event raising more than $30,000 for Union Hospital. 

During the 18 holes of golf, players competed for longest and straightest drive for men and women and Hole in One Prizes on all Par 3’s provided by Lexus of Wilmington.  Additionally, two lucky players, male and female closest to the pin, had a chance to shoot a hole in one for $1 million!  Mrs. Annie Antmann and Mr. Rich DeCosta, both playing with DeCosta construction, made a valiant effort to win $1 million.

At the awards reception and banquet tournament winners were announced as players enjoyed the best tournament seafood buffet in the county and an open bar.  The top fifteen teams were awarded prizes such as MacGregor MT Hybrids, four rounds of golf at various golf courses, Callaway golf sunglasses, a tailgate spot at the Fair Hill Races, and much more. The winning team was sponsored by Mr. Phillip Farmer with Cecil County’s UBS. The players including:
