Union Hospital Golf Tournament Moves to Newark Country Club

Elkton, Md. (August 11, 2010) – The Union Hospital Foundation will host its 15th Annual Golf Tournament Friday, September 17, 2010, to benefit Union Hospital.  The tournament promises to be a great day as over 180 golfers tee off for a worthy cause.

Since 2002 the Union Hospital has enjoyed 7 successful golf outings at the Patriots Glenn Golf Course in Elkton, Md. This year, the golf committee decided to change the scenery by hosting the tournament at the Newark Country Club in Newark, De.

Golf Committee Chair, Drew Gee said, “Newark Country Club offers the tournament participants a traditional style course, with player-friendly fairways, small greens and new challenges as the tournament celebrates its 15th year. I believe our players will not only enjoy the course, but all the amenities this scenic venue provides.”

Participants will compete for great prizes including longest and straightest drive for men and women and Hole in One Prizes on all Par 3’s.  Additionally, two lucky players, male and female closest to the pin winners, will have a chance to shoot a hole in one for $1 million!

Players can choose from two tee times - 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Teams of four and individual players are welcome to register at $175 per golfer.  This fee includes greens fees, golf cart, gifts for all players, beverages and snacks on the course, continental breakfast, lunch, and buffet dinner.

Great sponsorship opportunities are still available!  For information or to register your players visit www.uhccfoundation.org or contact Danielle Mackie via phone at (410) 620-3709 or via e-mail at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
